Finio Quoted in Articles About Competition for Pennsylvania's Last Remaining Harness Racing License

Michael A. Finio, a Partner in the Litigation Department in the Harrisburg office, is mentioned in several articles published October 26, 2004 for his work representing Centaur Inc., a horseracing/gambling company in Indianapolis and one of two organizations seeking the last remaining harness racing license available in Pennsylvania.

The articles covered an October 25 Harness Racing Commission hearing during which Mr. Finio's client's competitor disclosed that it had added a nationally known casino company to its team seeking the harness racing license.

Mr. Finio complained at the hearing that that the competitor had notified him only a few days earlier about its decision to add the casino company to its team. Mr. Finio asked the commissioners not to allow the competitor to make any more last-minute changes to improve its bid for the license.

In addition to the Post-Gazette article, the Associated Press, and the Beaver County Times and the Allegheny News newspapers covered the hearing. All mentioned Mr. Finio's role and quoted his position on behalf of his client.
