Forte touts Saul Ewing’s progress on LGBTQ+ issues
Anthony Forte, a Partner who concentrates his practice on commercial real estate transactions and serves as Chair of the Retail and Hospitality Practice, is quoted in this story about the Firm’s score in the 2013 Corporate Equality Index compiled by the Human Rights Campaign. The Firm received a score of 90 out of a possible 100 for leadership and excellence in workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender employees.
Forte said the Firm is making progress each year on LGBTQ+ issues, including the decision to gross up compensation to make up for the higher tax burden placed on this benefit for the spouses or domestic partners of LGBTQ+ employees.
He also touted the launch of the firm’s LGBTQ+ affinity group. “That has been a nice new support for our attorneys and it is open to all attorneys,” he said.
