Higher Education Practice Group co-sponsors 2010 Higher Education Study
"Study Reveals Increased Positive Economic Impact of Higher Education in the Greater Philadelphia Region", Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce
The Higher Education Practice Group joined The CEO Council for Growth, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, Select Greater Philadelphia, and the region’s colleges and universities in funding the 2010 Higher Education Study.
Findings from the study revealed that the economic impact of the region's numerous post-secondary academic institutions has grown since 2007. The study revealed that the number of full time student enrollments has grown from 275,811 in 2007 to 295,603 in 2010 and that student operational spending in the region has grown from $14.58 billion in 2007 to $16.27 billion in 2010.
