"Bucks-S. Korean alliance creates partnership", Bucks County Courier Times
Partner Thomas J. Jennings, a member of the Environment, Energy and Utilities Department, was cited in this article for his instrumental role in establishing a sister city partnership between Bucks County, home to a large Korean population, and Namdong District in the Republic of Korea.
Officials from both communities signed an alliance July 24, 2009, pledging to work together to foster economic and cultural development between the two regions. Jennings, along with Adam Kim, head of Gov. Ed Rendell's advisory commission on Asian American Affairs, helped facilitate the 21st Century Alliance, choosing the regions based on their mutual business and environmental goals.
