Kline Discusses Legal Issues of Terry Schiavo Case

Your Morning on CN8

March 23, 2005

Amy S. Kline, an Associate in Saul Ewing’s Litigation Department in the Philadelphia office and a member of the White Collar and Government Enforcement Practice Group, appeared on "Your Morning on CN8" to discuss the legal issues involved in the Terry Schiavo case.

Ms. Kline provided analysis on the case, including the remaining options for Ms. Schiavo's parents, the chances that the U.S. Supreme Court would accept the case, and whether Congress overstepped its bounds by enacting a law requiring the federal courts to review the appeal. She also discussed how a living will can help prevent disputes such as this, and the importance of discussing what your wishes would be with family members should they have to make a life or death decision on your behalf in similar circumstances. The morning program was Ms. Kline's first television appearance.
