Majev quoted in article about commercial real estate recovery
Howard R. Majev, a partner and Co-Chair of the Real Estate Practice, is quoted in this article about the commercial real estate recovery and insights that panelists shared on the subject during Saul Ewing's 4th Annual Mid-Atlantic Real Estate Conference in Baltimore on October 18, 2012.
“People were much more optimistic and confident about the real estate market,” Howard told GlobeSt.com. “The general impression received is that although the commercial real estate markets aren’t totally healthy, they’ve gained a lot of traction.”
Howard also put the mood of today’s market into historical context by pointing out that real estate looked more grim in fall 2009, the first year that the Firm sponsored the conference. His impressions about multifamily dwellings leading the recovery, financing becoming more available and capital chasing deals also are noted. No one, Majev added, promised a uniformly even recovery.
