Riley comments on Consumer Financial Protection Bureau case
Francis (“Trip”) Riley, a partner and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Consumer Financial Services Department, comments on the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals decision on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s case against PHH Corp.
“It makes sense that [the majority] would support Congress’ decision to establish this structure given that there is sufficient case law and sufficient real world evidence that this type of structure has always passed constitutional muster,” said Trip.
