Anthony P. Forte, a partner at Saul Ewing and a member of the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee, is quoted in this article highlighting Saul Ewing’s involvement in a national pro bono program which provides free name change services to low-income trans people. The New York City-based Transgender Legal Defense Education Fund runs the project and recently announced its expansion to Philadelphia. The local program has already helped 17 people in the city.

“The Name Change Project is a wonderful program that offers low-income trans clients the support and assistance they need to achieve an important and profound milestone in their new identity,” Tony said in the article. “We at Saul Ewing are thrilled to be partnering with TLDEF and Reed Smith to expand this important program in Philadelphia – to offer this vital assistance to trans people here. This is the type of pro-bono legal work that we can all feel really great about.”
