Saul Ewing defends pipeline client against environmentalists’ claims against DEP permitting
Saul Ewing’s representation of Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. (Transco) is mentioned in this article in Law 360. The article explains that environmental groups are arguing the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection should not have issued a water quality certification for the expansion of the Leidy pipeline because some pre-construction activities were within a wetland.
Partner John Stoviak defended the activities and says in the article, “the company launched the efforts after it had secured proper approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and filed a notice to proceed.”
