Saul Ewing lawyers score another win for Penn State University
Penn State Ducks Suit Over Firings During Sandusky Scandal

On February 25, 2016, a Pennsylvania federal judge dismissed a lawsuit against Penn State University brought on by former assistant football coaches, Jay Paterno — the son of late longtime coach Joe Paterno — and William Kenney, who accused the university of irreparably harming their reputations by terminating their employment in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky scandal. U.S. District Court Judge Lawrence Stengel ruled that the former coaches failed to demonstrate that their firings rose to the level of a constitutional deprivation of their rights without due process of law.
