Doreen M. Zankowski, a Partner in the Construction, Real Estate and Government Contracts Practices, is featured in this story about a recent panel discussion she led on the growing trend of private developers partnering with public agencies to develop roads, schools, wastewater treatment plants and other public projects. These innovative public-private partnerships are also known as P3s.

"We're seeing a lot of private developers coming in who are doing projects that otherwise wouldn't get developed," she said. "We might be leaning a little bit more to the public in public infrastructure and how you can pay for the public infrastructure with the private partnership, but more importantly, once you get those projects going, it opens up a world of development for private developers."

The panel discussion, "Driving Economic Growth – P3, Innovative Infrastructure, Delivery and Financing," was part of Saul Ewing's 2nd Annual New England Real Estate Conference, which took place Nov. 7, 2012 in Boston.
