Forty-One Saul Ewing Attorneys Recognized for Excellence by Chambers USA Directory

Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 260 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that 41 attorneys from the firm received the distinguished honor of being recognized for legal excellence and client service by Chambers USA 2017: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business – the most ever named from the firm.

Chambers is one of the most respected lawyer directories in the U.S. and worldwide. It uses a team of more than 140 researchers to rank lawyers on the basis of their legal knowledge, experience, ability, effectiveness and client-service.  Top firms are ranked and their merits described, often in the words of clients who were interviewed. This year, attorneys from the firm’s Baltimore, MD office selected to the list are Harriet E. Cooperman and Gary B. Eidelman for their labor and employment work; James E. Goodrich for his real estate practice; Eric G. Orlinsky for corporate/M&A; Maria Ellena Chavez-Ruark for her bankruptcy/restructuring practice; Sherry H. Flax and Gianna J. Arnold for intellectual property; and Charles O. Monk, II for his bankruptcy litigation and commercial litigation practices.
Michael S. Burg, who practices in the firm's Chesterbrook, PA office, was named for his real estate practice; and Gregory J. Davis, who also practices in Chesterbrook, was named for his real estate/zoning and land use practice. Joel R. Burcat, in the Harrisburg, PA office, was recognized for his environmental work.
Attorneys from the Philadelphia, PA office named to the list are Bruce D. Armon  for his health practice; Stephen J. Driscoll and Kathryn R. Doyle for their intellectual property practices; Jeffrey C. Hampton and Adam H. Isenberg for their bankruptcy/restructuring practices; Christopher R. Hall for his white-collar crime and government investigations work; James A. Keller and Joseph F. O’Dea, Jr. for their commercial litigation practices; Anthony P. Forte for his real estate/zoning and land use work; George E. Rahn, Jr. for his construction practice; David G. Shapiro for Tax; and Stephen S. Aichele, John P. Pierce, Frederick D. Strober and Erik F. Williams for their real estate practices.
In the Newark, NJ office, Robert D. Goodman was named for insurance dispute resolution (New York); and Charles M. Lizza was named for intellectual property. Rrom the Princeton, NJ office, Cristina Stummer and Steven J. Picco were selected for their environmental work and Sharon Levine was ranked both nationally and in New Jersey for her bankruptcy/restructuring practice.
Attorneys in the Washington, D.C. office named to the list are Jeffrey H. Gelman for his real estate practice and Mark I. Gruhin and Michael A. Gold for their corporate/M&A and private equity work.
Seven out of nine partners from the firm’s Wilmington, DE office were named to the list. They are Mark Minuti for bankruptcy/restructuring law; James D. Taylor, Jr. for labor and employment; Richard A. Forsten, William E. Manning and Wendie C. Stabler for their real estate/zoning and land use practices; and William S.Gee and Daniel H. Krapf for their real estate practices.
In addition, several of Saul Ewing’s practice areas were highly ranked in the directory, including Band 1 (highest level) rankings for the firm’s practices in intellectual property, real estate, zoning and land use.
