Garsson Appointed Chair of the New York City Bar Association's Insurance Law Committee
Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr LLP, a full-service law firm with more than 400 attorneys in 16 offices, announced that Frederic M. Garsson has been appointed Chair of the New York City Bar Association's Insurance Law Committee, effective September 1, 2020. Mr. Garsson previously served as Secretary of the Association's Insurance Law Committee.
Mr. Garsson has more than 20 years of experience advising insurance industry clients on U.S. state and federal insurance laws and regulations, with a focus on advising on New York insurance regulatory matters. He serves as regulatory Co-Chair of the Firm’s Insurance Practice.
“I am honored to be leading this Committee, which covers all aspects of law, regulation and public policy affecting the insurance industry, both locally and globally,” said Mr. Garsson. "I look forward to working with the Committee to provide a forum for current insurance law topics, including sponsoring insurance-related CLEs and other public programs, and commenting on proposed insurance legislation and regulations.”
Mr. Garsson earned his J.D., cum laude, from Brooklyn Law School, and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
