Landy appointed Vice-Chair of ABA Employee Benefits Group
The American Bar Association’s Health Law Section has appointed Saul Ewing attorney Joni Landy to serve as a Vice-Chair of the Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation Interest Group. Her term begins in September 2013.
The group focuses on the rules governing health and other welfare benefits plans particularly relating to HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA and Medicare Secondary Payor rules. It also examines the challenges of providing benefits for employees of not-for-profit health care companies and similar issues.
Landy focuses her practice on health and welfare benefit matters as a member of Saul Ewing’s Labor Employment and Employee Benefits Group. She received her law degree from Duquesne University School of Law. She also has a master’s degree in social work from the University of Maryland School of Social Work and a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
