Saul Ewing Attorney Justine M. Kasznica Elected Chair of PBA Space Law Committee

Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 270 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Justine M. Kasznica, an attorney in the firm’s Business and Finance and Technology and Manufacturing Practices, has been elected Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s (PBA) Space Law Committee, and a member of the Aeronautical and Space Law Council.  She will serve a two-year term. 
 
At Saul Ewing, Ms. Kasznica represents technology companies, investor groups, universities and research institutions seeking to commercialize new technologies, as well as innovative products and services. She handles matters related to business formation, initial capitalization, as well as angel, venture, equity and debt financing, protection and exploitation of intellectual property, commercial agreements and technology transactions. She focuses her practice on the aerospace, IT and robotics industries. Ms. Kasznica represents commercial drone (unmanned aircraft systems - UAS) companies in connection with their regulatory needs, and serves as outside general counsel to robotics and SaaS companies in the commercial space, aerospace, IT and cybersecurity fields.
 
Ms. Kasznica regularly participates in speaking engagements, writes articles and leads workshops on legal and regulatory topics related to UAS and commercial space. She is an advisor to various UAS companies and projects, and serves on the board of several entrepreneurship-focused organizations and programs.
 
Ms. Kasznica earned her J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, and her B.A. from Yale University.
