Saul Ewing Partner Joshua W.B. Richards Appointed to Board of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts
Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 270 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Partner Joshua W. B. Richards, Vice Chair of the firm’s Higher Education Practice, has been appointed to serve as an Advisory Board Member for the Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts.
Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts is a statewide nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to ensuring that all Pennsylvanians can come to our courts with confidence that they will be heard by qualified, fair and impartial judges. PMC functions as a court watchdog, identifying and speaking out on issues that impact the public's confidence in our courts. PMC seeks to improve and strengthen the justice system in Pennsylvania through its three main program areas: judicial selection reform; systemic court reform and improvements; and public education.
At Saul Ewing, Mr. Richards focuses his practice on general commercial and appellate litigation with a particular emphasis on matters involving higher education. In addition to representing clients in commercial disputes, he has a strong background in representing colleges and universities in litigation, compliance, and government investigations in matters involving Title IX and other federal statutes, student conduct matters, faculty relations, employment claims, and civil tort claims, including student death and abuse matters.
Mr. Richards earned his J.D. from University of Pennsylvania School of Law and his B.A. from Middlebury College.
