Saul Ewing Partner Joyce A. Kuhns Named Co-Chair of Reactivated and Renamed Greater Maryland IWIRC Chapter

(Baltimore, MD, April 9, 2012) — Joyce A. Kuhns, a partner in the Baltimore office of Saul Ewing’s Bankruptcy and Restructuring Practice, has been selected to serve as co-chair of the newly reactivated and renamed Greater Maryland chapter of the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC).

 IWIRC is an international organization dedicated to supporting and promoting women professionals in the insolvency and restructuring professions worldwide.

 Members of the Greater Maryland Network will encompass  lawyers, accountants, lenders, judges, financial advisors, liquidators and other professionals throughout Maryland and the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who work in the field of bankruptcy and insolvency.

 “We are energized about providing a forum to bring together women bankruptcy and restructuring professionals who work in the dynamic and evolving Baltimore-Washington economic corridor, the heart of the Mid-Atlantic region and the doorstep to the nation’s capital,” Kuhns said.

 Kuhns will co-chair the chapter with Linda V. Donhauser, a partner with Miles & Stockbridge P.C.  The group will host its first event in the first week of May in conjunction with the Maryland Bankruptcy Bar Association’s Spring Break Weekend in Annapolis, Maryland.

 Kuhns earned her B.A. from Smith College and her J.D. from The College of William and Mary School of Law, where she currently serves on its Board of Trustees. She is admitted to practice in Maryland.
