Two Saul Ewing Attorneys Appointed to Positions by Maryland Governor

Saul Ewing LLP, a full service law firm with more than 270 lawyers in 11 East Coast offices, today announced that Katrina J. Dennis and Nicholas C. Stewart have been appointed to positions by Maryland Gov. Larry J. Hogan, Jr.

Ms. Dennis has been appointed to the Appellate Courts Judicial Nominating Commission. The Commission nominates candidates for judges of the Court of Appeals and the Court of Special Appeals and is composed of seventeen members. Ms. Dennis is one of twelve members appointed by the Governor; the remaining five members are elected by the Maryland State Bar Association.  She will serve a four-year term.

Mr. Stewart has been appointed to the Baltimore County School Board. The Board acts both as an official body representing the state and as the official body with authority to develop a program of education in the county. It is responsible for developing and evaluating policies regarding the public schools of the county, overseeing such matters as budget and property. Mr. Stewart will serve a three-year term.

Ms. Dennis earned her J.D. from University of Baltimore School of Law, and her B.A. from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Mr. Stewart earned his J.D. from George Washington University Law School and his B.A. from University of Maryland.
