Born and raised in Japan, Ted understands the Japanese business culture and guides his clients through the intricacies of doing business in the United States.
He is an established advisor on a wide range of legal matters concerning Japanese corporations, from mergers and acquisitions to employment-related laws and immigration law. Ted serves as a general counsel to various Japanese corporations and has done work for a number of major Japanese corporations, including Toyota Trading, Toshiba, Yamaha, Asahi Beer, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, Sumitomo, Mazda, Morinaga and Nissan, to name a few.

He also brings to bear his extensive cross-border transactional experience in helping his Japanese clients do business in Canada, Mexico, France, England, China, Thailand, and the Philippines. In addition, Ted practices immigration law and assists in visa applications for executives and managers of multi-national corporations.
Ted was head of the immigration practice and Japanese practice at a former law firm and, prior to that, was co-chair of the Japanese practice group at another firm. He is fluent in Japanese
