On Tuesday, December 7, 2021, a federal judge in Georgia issued a nationwide preliminary injunction halting the enforcement of the federal mandate that obligates many federal contractors and subcontractors to require their employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. ​The Department of Labor (“DOL”) issued Final Regulations increasing the minimum wage for employees of Federal Government contractors from $10.95 an hour to $15 an hour. The Final Regulations are substantially similar to the proposed rule, which we discussed in our July 2021 Alert . What You Need to Know: The increased wage rate is effective for solicitations issued and contracts awarded after January 30, 2022.
