‘Title Washing’ in Pennsylvania is Alive and Well

Joel Burcat, a partner and chair of Saul Ewing’s Energy Extraction Practice, and Megan Albright, an associate in the firm’s Real Estate Practice, authored this article which describes how the effects of title washing are still seen today. Using the recent decision in Herder Spring Hunting Club v. Keller as an example, the article demonstrates that although title washing ended in  1947, today’s courts still recognize these property mergers, and have the potential to impact individuals property rights.
