Going Green in a Small Firm: Is it for you?

Clean Air Act, Clean Water, Environmental

Andrew T. Bockis, an associate in the Environment and Natural Resources Practice Group, wrote this article about the Pennsylvania Bar Association's PLUS Program. The PLUS (Pennsylvania Lawyers United for Sustainability) Program is a voluntary initiative that encourages attorneys to follow guidelines to make law firms more sustainable. These guidelines cover five areas: energy savings, paper reduction, recycling and waste reduction, transportation and sustainable purchasing.

Mr. Bockis' article contains practical actions that attorneys can take to get started on becoming more environmentally friendly, such as installing motion detectors in offices to trigger lights going on and off and buying recyclable office materials.
