Social Media: Too Powerful To Ignore
Heather R. Pruger, an associate in the Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Practice Group, wrote this article discussing the powerful tool that social media has become. Social media is too difficult to ignore and poses many risks — both to attorneys and their clients — to remain uneducated about how it works. With all the legal and ethical concerns associated with the use of social media, the concerns do not justify avoidance. Instead, it is a tool that should be used by informed users who remain alert for changes as legal and ethical frameworks adjust to account for this new method of social and professional interaction.
