WARN Legislation Could Change Before Year's End

Catherine E. Walters, a Partner in the Labor, Employment and Employee Benefits Practice Group, wrote this article that covers anticipated amendments this year to the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN).

In the article, Walters says, if passed, the Federal Oversight, Reform and Enforcement of WARN Act (Forewarn), would expand coverage to employers with 50 employees and expand the notice requirement to plant closings that would result in the loss of 25 rather than 50 jobs, among several other changes.
