The Illinois Condominium Property Act 2019

The Illinois Condominium Property Act 2019

Saul Ewing Arnstein & Lehr’s Condominium and Community Associations Practice is pleased to once again offer its annual summary of the Illinois Condominium Property Act (“ICPA”).

Although the legislature made no changes to the ICPA during 2018, the Ombudsperson Act requirements take effect on January 1, 2019. Illinois courts also issued several decisions addressing a variety of condominium association issues, including special assessments, rule violation hearings, post-foreclosure assessment payments and other noteworthy topics. Each of these topics and other developments from 2018 are discussed in the booklet.
