Riggs, members of the Litigation Department, authored a subchapter in the book, Litigators on Experts: Strategies for Managing Expert Witnesses from Retention through Trial, published by the ABA. The subchapter, “Preparing For and Cross-Examining the Opposing Expert at Trial,” discusses the information necessary to conduct an effective cross-examination and stresses the importance of preparation and planning, as well as diffusing and reducing the force and impact of the expert’s direct testimony.
