Kevin O'Brien, Ph.D.

Kevin T. O'Brien, Ph.D., is a patent agent who focuses his practice on intellectual property (IP) matters including patent preparation and prosecution, patent landscape analyses, and freedom to operate analyses. Kevin practices in the physical and life sciences space, where he works on technologies such as small molecules, drug formulation and delivery, biotechnology, and materials sciences.

Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Kevin earned his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania where he developed extensive technical experience in small molecule synthesis, synthetic method development, polymer synthesis, and transition metal catalysis.
