CLE Webinar: Solar Applications for Building Owners

Please join Saul Ewing LLP for an informative one-hour CLE presentation this Tuesday, January 21st. The focus of the session will be on identifying solar sustainability applications that can be utilized by building owners with assets located across regions of the United States.  A range of solar applications will be explained, including on-site utilization of third-party owned solar, community solar and the use of virtual power purchase agreements.  The underlying governmental incentive programs that facilitate such applications will also be reviewed.

Another focus will be on how applications can be designed to leverage off the existing building owner’s utility operating budget by purchasing electricity from third-party providers who make the capital investments in equipment rather than the building owner directly incurring capital expenditures.

There will also be a review of some of the important considerations in formulating the contracts that support such applications (on-site power purchase agreements and the site license or lease for location of on-site third-party owned solar facilities; community solar subscription agreements and virtual power purchase agreements for solar facilities).
