On November 20, 2025, from 1:30-2:45 p.m., Carolyn and three other business professionals will be speaking on "NIL & Student-Athletes: The $20.5 Million Questions Athletic Departments Are Asking." They will be discussing:
- Legislative and litigation update, overview of the laws, and recent actions;
- Pros and Cons of classifying student-athletes as employees, including federal and state updates on student-athletes status as employees;
- The panel will discuss pragmatic approaches, including structuring a University’s NIL deal with student-athletes and what campuses should consider; and
- How could NIL reshape college athletics beyond Division I institutions.
