NEW YORK CITY (May 12, 2026) – Saul Ewing LLP today announced that Partner James P. Chou has been named Managing Partner of the firm’s New York City office. The Managing Partner is responsible for helping to develop the strategic direction of the office, drive revenue and talent growth, and align partners around a shared vision to build a leading, high-performing market presence while sustaining the firm’s culture. Mr. Chou is eager to grow the office, adding to its already strong team of professionals, including three new attorneys who have joined in the past year.

In his practice, Mr. Chou is a litigator and trial lawyer with nearly three decades of experience representing clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters. Clients including financial institutions, technology companies, manufacturers and distributors of consumer products, public and private company officers and directors, and high net worth investors and entrepreneurs rely on Mr. Chou to handle cases in state and federal courts and other venues. Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. Chou draws on this broad litigation experience to act as outside general counsel to middle market, privately held companies in need of assistance navigating complex legal issues and requirements.
