CHICAGO, (MARCH 24, 2025) – Justin K. Beyer, a litigator with more than 20 years of experience, has joined Saul Ewing, where he will focus on disputes involving trade secrets and non-compete agreements, as well as complex commercial and tort liability cases. Mr. Beyer will be a partner in the firm’s Chicago office.
“We are thrilled to welcome Justin to Saul Ewing,” said Chicago Office Managing Partner Toby Eveland. “While he will be resident in our Chicago office, Justin has a nationwide trial practice to support clients with disputes in state and federal courts within and beyond the firm’s footprint.”
Mr. Beyer focuses primarily on representing companies who need to protect or reacquire misappropriated information or wish to hire a competitor's former employee. This includes prosecuting and defending injunctive relief claims based on misappropriation of trade secrets and breaches of non-competition agreements.
Mr. Beyer also represents clients in a wide array of complex commercial litigation, including business and real property disputes. He additionally litigates product and premises liability cases. His experience includes matters involving commercial, industrial and heavy machinery, as well as substantial matters involving confined space and lockout tagout issues.
In addition to his trial work, Justin counsels clients on developing trade secret and non-compete programs, with a focus on both known and developing challenges and risks in the marketplace at a state, national, or worldwide level. This work includes developing onboarding and offboarding procedures to maintain the secrecy of their information to preserve a competitive but fair environment.
Mr. Beyer has been named to The Best Lawyers in America list for Commercial Litigation and for Trade Secrets. He earned a J.D. from University of Illinois College of Law and his B.A. from Beloit College.
