Experienced Real Estate Counsel Karen Halm-Lutterodt Joins Saul Ewing's Chicago Office

Baltimore, (NOVEMBER 10, 2025) – Karen Halm-Lutterodt, an experienced real estate attorney, has joined Saul Ewing LLP, where she will focus on advising clients nationwide on commercial real estate with a focus on leasing and telecommunications. Ms. Halm-Lutterodt will be a counsel in the firm's Chicago office.

Ms. Halm-Lutterodt has extensive experience representing landlords and tenants in commercial lease transactions for retail and mixed-use buildings, shopping centers, office and industrial properties. She also advises clients on property operations and management, related to property disputes, and provides guidance on claims and defenses under lease agreements.

In addition to her leasing work, Ms. Halm-Lutterodt represents clients in acquisitions and dispositions across a wide variety of industries and classes, including telecommunication and data center infrastructure and retail and multi-family residential properties.

Ms. Halm-Lutterodt's experience also encompasses guiding clients through complex title, survey and zoning matters, and assessing environmental risks linked to commercial properties. She performs comprehensive due diligence in real estate transactions to ensure that clients adhere to applicable state and local regulatory requirements and regulations.

Ms. Halm-Lutterodt has a J.D. from University of Illinois at Chicago Law School, an M.A. from DePaul University and a B.A. from University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
