Experienced Trusts & Estates Attorney Jay Oppenheim Joins Saul Ewing’s Baltimore Office

BALTIMORE, (JULY 2, 2025) – Jay Oppenheim, an experienced trusts and estates attorney, has joined Saul Ewing, where he will focus on helping clients to preserve their wealth, facilitate business succession, minimize tax liabilities, protect assets, and achieve philanthropic goals. Mr. Oppenheim will be a counsel in the firm’s Baltimore office.

Mr. Oppenheim’s practice includes preparing foundational documents, such as wills, powers of attorney, and health care directives, as well as designing complex succession strategies. He also designs and drafts a wide array of revocable, irrevocable, and testamentary trusts, and modifies irrevocable trusts through decanting and non-judicial settlement agreements.

Mr. Oppenheim assists clients with the administration of trusts and estates, including providing counsel on fiduciary duties and risk management, and he represents fiduciaries and beneficiaries in trust and estate disputes. He also prepares fiduciary, gift, and estate tax returns. 

Mr. Oppenheim earned a J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law and a B.A. from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He is currently pursuing his LL.M. in Taxation at the University of Baltimore School of Law.
