Philadelphia, (SEPTEMBER 4, 2025)– Michael Duffy, an experienced corporate attorney, has joined Saul Ewing, where he will focus on mergers and acquisitions and other commercial transactions. Mr. Duffy will be a partner in the firm’s Philadelphia office.

"Michael possesses a deep understanding of the legal intricacies involved when a client sells, buys or invests in a company and seeks the financing necessary to support these deals. His experience with business transactions is not only extensive but also spans from start-ups to well-established enterprises."
Mr. Duffy represents clients who are selling businesses and buyers who are seeking investment opportunities, including private equity-backed ventures. He also assists clients with debt and equity financings, investment fund formations and private placement offerings under Regulation D. He provides legal guidance to start-up entities and venture capital funds on venture capital financing, including early-stage seed financing to later growth-phase rounds, and on general corporate matters in between.
Clients also look to Mr. Duffy for legal advice on issues that arise during start-up as well as in their daily operations, including negotiating and drafting organizational documents and agreements for intellectual property licensing, distribution, purchases, services and a variety of other needs.
Mr. Duffy earned his J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law-Newark and a B.A. from Rutgers University.
