(CHICAGO–March 3, 2026) – Saul Ewing LLP is pleased to announce the appointment of E. Jason Tremblay as the new Managing Partner of the Firm's Chicago office, effective March 4, 2026.
A seasoned business attorney and litigator, Jason brings more than 26 years of legal experience and deep ties to the Chicago legal community to this new role. He has spent his entire legal career with Saul Ewing, most recently serving as Vice Chair of the Labor & Employment Practice. In this role, he counsels companies across diverse industries on employment law and commercial matters, including wage and hour disputes, restrictive covenant claims, discrimination and retaliation litigation, and complex tort matters. He also guides clients on preventive human resources counseling, employment agreements, audits, and investigations.
Jason's leadership is grounded in a commitment to client service and deep substantive experience. He has been recognized as a Future Star in Illinois by Benchmark Litigation and has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers list for Employment & Labor. He earned his J.D. with High Honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College.
“Jason is the right leader for this pivotal moment in the evolution of our Chicago office,” said Firm Managing Partner Jason M. St. John. “His professional judgment, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to excellence have earned the trust of clients and colleagues alike. We are confident that under Jason’s leadership, the Chicago office will continue to thrive and expand its impact.”
"I'm humbled and honored to assume this important leadership role and build on the strong foundation laid by Toby over the past five years," said Tremblay. "Our Chicago team is known for its exceptional client service, collaborative culture, and deep engagement in the community. I look forward to working with our talented lawyers and business professionals to advance our strategic goals and to continue to deliver exceptional value and legal expertise to our clients."
Jason succeeds Toby Eveland, who will depart the firm on March 4, 2026, to accept a position with Cincinnati-based Manley Burke. Toby has served as Managing Partner of the Chicago office for five years, during which time he strengthened the firm’s presence in the market, deepened client relationships, and elevated the firm’s profile in key sectors. "It has truly been an honor to lead this office and work alongside such talented, dedicated colleagues," Toby said. "I am incredibly proud of what we’ve accomplished together, especially during and after the pandemic, where I worked to instill agility, flexibility, and grace for all. I am confident that the Chicago office will continue to thrive in the years ahead under Jason’s exceptional leadership."
