Harrisburg (January 9, 2025) - Saul Ewing LLP announced today that Matthew M. Haar, Managing Partner of the firm’s Harrisburg office, has been named to Attorney General-Elect Dave Sunday’s Transition Team to serve on the Civil Law Committee.
Each committee will be asked to engage with stakeholders in their issue area to prepare recommendations and background for their experience with the Attorney General’s office, what is working, what needs improvement and suggestions for those improvements. The reports will be due February 28th and will be presented to the Attorney General and his team. The transition has been divided into four committees with subcommittees focusing on specific areas under them.
Matt will draw on his more than 20 years of experience as a litigator handling corporate and commercial disputes, including cases involving insurance and reinsurance, energy and permitting, and clean energy. Beyond his commercial litigation and insurance work, Matt litigates disputes related to exploration, production and transportation of oil and natural gas, in state and federal courts as well as Pennsylvania state administrative agencies. He also handles matters for clean energy companies.
“In building this transition committee, I wanted to hear from all Pennsylvanians about their experiences with the Attorney General’s office, where it is doing well and where it can be improved,” Attorney General-Elect Dave Sunday commented. “I’m grateful to these individuals for their willingness to serve and to improve the office of the Attorney General. I look forward to their findings.”
Matt earned his J.D., cum laude, from Penn State Dickinson Law and his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Washington and Lee University.
