Kayla M. Kienzle

Kayla M. Kienzle represents employers, including businesses, educational institutions, and executives, nationwide in employment litigation and advises them on how to shape their workplace polices, practices, and operations to align with labor and employment laws. 

Kayla litigates a broad range of employment and business disputes through trial and on appeal. Her litigation experience includes disputes in state and federal courts involving discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, as well as wage and hour laws, restrictive covenants and contract disputes. She also represents employers in class and collective actions and mass arbitration. 

In addition to her work in the courtroom, Kayla represents employers in front of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and corresponding state agencies, as well as in arbitration forums including Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services (JAMS) and the American Arbitration Association (AAA).

Kayla draws on her litigation experience to advise clients on employment matters throughout the employment relationship including employment agreements, hiring, employee discipline, internal investigations, leaves of absence and accommodation requests, wage and hour compliance, and termination and separation agreements. In addition, she provides updates on evolving state and federal labor and employment law.  

Prior to entering private practice, Kayla was a judicial law clerk for the Honorable John R. Rodenberg and the Honorable Michelle A. Larkin, both in the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
