Webinar - Investigations 101: Invaluable Guidance for Conducting Investigations in K-12 Schools

Saul Ewing’s K-12 Education attorneys hosted a practical, lunch-and-learn style webinar designed to help school leaders prepare for and navigate incident investigations with confidence. Jim Keller and Jim Taylor, with more than 55 years of combined experience, have led and taken part in a multitude of K-12 and higher education investigations over their careers, ranging from discrete student issues to employee matters, from alleged financial impropriety to allegations of historic sexual abuse. This informative session walked through key considerations—from structuring an effective investigation team to managing evidence, sensitive collateral issues, and more. This program is tailored for Heads of School and board members, but also useful for deans, counselors, faculty, and others who may receive reports of alleged misconduct. It offers clear, actionable, real-world guidance for responding thoughtfully and effectively when an investigation becomes necessary.
