LOS ANGELES, (JULY 11, 2024) – In joining Saul Ewing as a new partner, Stephen Ma brings the firm’s clients nearly 30 years of experience as a litigator representing public and private companies and their officers, directors, members and investors. He is resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office.
Mr. Ma is a seasoned trial attorney who handles jury trials, bench trials and arbitration proceedings in both state and federal courts, particularly disputes relating to entertainment and real estate. His experience includes defending music publishers in licensing and copyright disputes and representing real estate developers and lenders in litigation against breach of contract and fraudulent transfer claims.
Mr. Ma also has extensive experience with securities litigation, particularly representation of individual officers, directors, members and investors involved in investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and other regulators. He handles matters connected with allegations of mortgage securitization fraud, insider trading and illegal kickbacks, as well as securities class actions, derivative litigation and related corporate governance matters.

Mr. Ma earned his J.D. from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law. He also has a B.A. from Georgetown University.
