PHILADELPHIA, (JUNE 10, 2024) – Michael Petrizzo and Julia Taylor, corporate attorneys with more than 50 years of combined experience, have joined Saul Ewing LLP as new partners. While Ms. Taylor is resident in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, Mr. Petrizzo is resident in Philadelphia with a secondary office in New York.
Mr. Petrizzo and Ms. Taylor both focus on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, reorganizations, stock and asset purchases and dispositions, consolidations and a variety of other complex commercial transactions. They also advise businesses across a wide array of industries on general corporate and commercial matters, including acting as outside corporate counsel. Before joining Saul Ewing, both were partners at the law firm Armstrong Teasdale LLP.
Ms. Taylor and Mr. Petrizzo advise clients on securities offerings, including assisting issuers and underwriters in connection with private placements and public offerings of equity and debt offerings. They also assist private equity and venture capital investors with respect to the acquisition or disposition of portfolio companies, as well as the integration and operation of acquired portfolio companies. Ms. Taylor and Mr. Petrizzo also handle corporate restructurings, including representation of companies that are selling or purchasing assets as part of a bankruptcy proceeding (363 transactions).
In addition, Mr. Petrizzo and Ms. Taylor both provide day-to-day counseling and corporate governance advice as well as negotiate and draft commercial contracts for clients.

Mr. Petrizzo earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He also has an M.B.A. from New York University Stern School of Business and a B.S. from the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Ms. Taylor earned her J.D. from Baylor University School of Law. She also has a B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
