Washington, D.C., (SEPTEMBER 24, 2025) - Jennifer Robins, a former federal trial attorney for the Disability Rights Section of the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division, has joined Saul Ewing LLP. Ms. Robins will focus on disputes and compliance issues involving disabilities laws in her new role as counsel in the firm's practices in ADA, FHA & Disabilities Law and Labor & Employment. She will be resident in the Washington, D.C. office.
"We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to Saul Ewing," said Washington, D.C. Office Managing Partner Jason McElroy. "Navigating the complex regulations surrounding accessibility and accommodations for people with disabilities can be challenging for clients. Drawing on her deep knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act, Jennifer helps clients understand the factors that drive the government to pursue investigations and litigation of matters under this and related laws, and she works with them to design strategies to minimize their legal risks."
Ms. Robins has devoted her career to work as a trial attorney, handling cases through their entire lifespan, including leading litigation teams, conducting mediations, and negotiating settlements. She also has previously worked with advocacy groups, giving her insight on class action strategy and how to develop a successful defense.
In her practice at Saul Ewing, Ms. Robins will represent public and private entities, higher education institutions and the health care industry in complex claims, appeals, and government investigations arising from the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). She will also handle cases under the Fair Housing Act (FHA), including those concerning the use of service animals.
Ms. Robins will also help clients proactively identify their physical and digital accessibility obligations, and work with them to create sound policies and practices. This includes recommendations connected with entrances, stairs, elevators, bathrooms, and other accommodations in a physical space, as well as accessibility for individuals with disabilities such as blindness or deafness, on websites, mobile applications, and other audiovisual or interactive resources.
In situations where clients still face a government investigation, Ms. Robins can conduct pre-investigations, respond to requests for information, conduct interviews, and report on findings to highlight clients' risks. She can also represent clients in their interactions with the government during interviews and site visits, and, when needed, in negotiation and settlement conversations.
Ms. Robins has a J.D. from University of Michigan Law School and a B.A. from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
