They are resident in the firm’s New York office.

“We are thrilled to welcome James and Peter to Saul Ewing,” said New York Office Managing Partner Laurie A. Their experience, including their work as trial lawyers, is well-suited to the needs of clients across our footprint, but especially in our steadily growing New York office.”

Mr. Chou focuses primarily on commercial and business litigation matters for clients including hedge funds, private equity firms, financial institutions, insurance carriers, manufacturers and distributors of consumer products, food and beverage companies, and high net worth individuals. He has also handled several bankruptcy-related litigations primarily on behalf of formal and ad hoc creditor and bondholder committees in chapter 11 cases.

Beyond his work in the courtroom, Mr. Chou draws on this broad litigation experience to act as outside general counsel to middle market, privately held companies in need of assistance with navigating complex legal issues and requirements.

Mr. Zlotnick is a complex corporate and commercial, real estate, construction and health care litigator who represents high net worth individuals, as well as public and private business entities, private equity firms and financial institutions. His experience includes handling matters before trial and appellate courts, regulatory and administrative agencies and alternate dispute resolution bodies. Mr. Zlotnick has also represented clients in connection with bankruptcy and restructuring disputes. Additionally, he has experience serving as a court-appointed federal equity receiver and special master and representing other receivers, corporate monitors, trustees and public fiduciaries in connection with enforcement actions and proceedings brought by federal regulatory agencies.

Mr. Zlotnick also prosecutes and defends claims brought by and against co-op and condominium boards and their sponsors and related stakeholders, and represents those clients in disputes related to enforcement of their offering plans and declaration of covenants, conditions and restrictions (CC&Rs), bylaws and other governing documents.

Mr. Chou earned his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and his B.A. from New York University. Mr. Zlotnick earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University.
