Dakota Neff is a member of the Litigation Department in the firm's Chicago office. He maintains a general litigation practice and handles a variety of matters involving complex commercial disputes.
While earning his J.D. at Loyola University of Chicago School of Law, Dakota worked full time and was a summer associate at Saul Ewing. He was also a legal intern for a physical and occupational therapy company, where he worked directly with the chief legal officer and in-house legal team. In this role, he supported the company’s business units on legal matters ranging from litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate to compliance, labor and employment, and contracts. He additionally worked as a legal intern for Legal Aid Chicago providing limited pro bono representation to clients through its Medical Legal Partnerships and as a 711 student attorney for Loyola’s Community Law Center Clinic representing families in guardianship probate proceedings.
Before starting his legal career, Dakota worked as an executive-level human resources and operations professional for the headquarters of Sigma Chi International, where he was involved in managing corporate restructures, the transfer and onboarding of multiple workforces through mergers and acquisitions, and a multi-year database migration. The Society of Human Resource Management selected him in 2020 as a subject matter expert on the human resources profession.
