The nature of the cases he has handled range from traditional breach of contract matters to claims involving complex shareholder disputes and class actions, as well as the defense of claims for losses related to disasters such as hurricanes, floods, fires, explosions, industrial accidents, airplane crashes or unique events such as the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster. He has tried numerous jury and non-jury civil cases to verdict in state and federal courts, and has extensive experience trying cases before arbitration tribunals such as the American Arbitration Association and JAMS.

Ted represents numerous insurance companies and insurance brokers, including one of the three largest international insurance brokers, in coverage-related disputes and claims of professional malfeasance. Ted's defense of insurance companies and insurance brokers includes lawsuits in state and federal courts throughout the country, as well as arbitration tribunals. The nature of the coverage issues involved range from more traditional disputes involving commercial general liability, property and employee dishonesty policies to atypical disputes involving manuscript policies for matters such as construction, medical products and satellite insurance that may implicate sums exceeding $100 million.

Ted's construction and real estate litigation practices include the representation of builders, developers, property owners and property managers. He has successfully defended claims ranging from defects alleged in multi-unit residential dwellings to $150 million commercial building projects. In addition to claims of economic loss, many of the cases defended by Ted involve claims of wrongful death or significant injuries due to defective conditions. Ted is also active in defending the Mid-Atlantic region's largest realtors and title companies in real estate-related lawsuits, arbitrations and administrative proceedings.
