Kurt Hoppmann helps clients protect their intellectual property through his work on patent applications and prosecution in front of the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). His experience includes drafting and prosecuting patents in a variety of technical areas, including software, AI, MedTech, and aerospace. The technical knowledge Kurt brings to this work is informed by his background earning a bachelor's degree in engineering mechanics including studies in astronautics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Kurt also handles freedom to operate and prior art searches and responses to office actions from the USPTO. In addition, Kurt advises clients on strategic development of patent portfolios to maximize valuations and exit value.
