Tom Laser is an experienced trial attorney with a focus on general litigation. Businesses, municipalities, colleges and universities, and individuals in Illinois and across the country look to him for representation in consumer financial services litigation (including class actions), appeals, tax controversy litigation (at both the state and federal level), as well as general contractual disputes. His experience also includes pre-litigation counseling and alternative dispute resolution.
Before joining Saul Ewing, Tom was a law clerk for Judge Alexander P. White in the Circuit Court of Cook County. While earning his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, he was the editor-in-chief of The John Marshall Law Review, and also served as a judicial extern for Judge Thomas M. Durkin in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
Tom has been named to the Illinois Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for Business Litigation since 2023.
