Tom Laser is a member of the Litigation Department in the Firm's Chicago office. He maintains a general litigation practice and handles a variety of matters involving complex commercial disputes, including servicing claims for consumer financial services companies.
Before joining Saul Ewing, Tom was a law clerk for Judge Alexander P. White in the Circuit Court of Cook County. While earning his J.D. at The John Marshall Law School, he was a judicial extern for Judge Thomas M. Durkin in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and served as editor-in-chief of The John Marshall Law Review. He also worked as a law clerk for two law firms, where he assisted with matters involving civil and commercial litigation.
Tom as the recipient of the Illinois Local Government Lawyers Association Litigation Award for 2022 for his work on McCafferty v. Village of Hoffman Estates.
