Evan Gotlob represents clients who are facing government investigations and enforcement actions involving white collar crimes. Drawing on his prior experience as an Assistant U.S. Attorney handling public corruption and white collar investigations, Evan provides guidance to clients on how to interact effectively with federal law enforcement and regulatory agencies when their transactions are reviewed or when they are negatively affected by the business practices of others. His experience relates to cases involving the U.S. Department of Justice, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and state Attorney General Offices. Evan's understanding of financial crimes is also informed by his M.B.A. in Finance and his prior role as a strategic business analyst and credit derivatives specialist in the finance industry.

Should an enforcement action lead to criminal or civil charges, Evan is a seasoned trial lawyer who is well-equipped to develop and execute on trial strategies in line with the client's goals for a successful resolution of the case. In addition to his white collar work as a federal prosecutor, Evan started his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney who handled more than 70 felony cases, including robbery and drug charges, as well as 200 misdemeanor cases. 

Evan also represents clients when they are facing governmental and internal corporate investigations, especially those involving tax, securities, mortgage and financial fraud issues. In these sensitive situations, Evan offers strategic advice on whether clients should cooperate with government authorities and how to best move forward. He is also well-equipped to provide clients with insights on compliance issues in connection with internal investigations, which can help avoid government scrutiny.
