Evan Poulgrain is a corporate attorney who advises public and private companies on complex commercial transactions, including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, entity formation and corporate governance issues. Evan oversees the full contract lifecycle of deals from negotiation through execution and compliance monitoring.
Prior to joining Saul Ewing, Evan worked as in-house counsel for Comcast's Cable Division, where he advised executives on content licensing and regulatory issues for traditional and new media offerings. This included deals involving traditional and virtual multichannel video program distributors (MVPDs), subscription and transactional video on demand (SVOD/TVOD), apps, and streaming and free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) platforms. This experience shapes Evan's ability to provide strategic and commercially focused legal advice on deal structure, contract interpretation, and partner obligations in a collaborative manner that takes into account the client's business objectives.
Prior to working in the United States, Evan was a licensed solicitor in Australia and worked in state government as a legal policy advisor across a range of matters, including economic relations, renewable energy policy, and transport infrastructure.
