Kaitlin Paddy represents management in employment litigation and counsels clients on compliance with laws and regulations affecting their workforce.
Kaitlin handles employment disputes before county, state and federal administrative agencies, including the Maryland Commission on Civil Rights and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), as well cases in the state and federal courts at the trial level. Kaitlin also conducts workplace investigations to help employers minimize their risks of liability and prepare to respond to compliance concerns.
Kaitlin draws lessons from her employment litigation work to counsel companies on labor and employment laws so they can shape their hiring and termination practices, personnel policies, and employment agreements to align with their compliance obligations, workplace culture and business goals. Kaitlin supports this work by drafting workplace policies, employee handbooks and employment agreements. She also conducts training sessions for employers and their managers on issues such as preventing, and handling claims of workplace harassment and discrimination and providing accommodations as required by federal, state and local law.
Kaitlin also has particular experience advising federal contractors on their affirmative action plans.
