Simran Merchant is a member of the Transactional Department in the firm's Chicago office. She maintains a general corporate practice and assists with a variety of deals. Her skill set includes: reviewing contracts; drafting a wide array of forms, agreements and bylaws; and handling filings for compliance with the Corporate Transparency, the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) and Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) Initial Notice requirements. She also assists with mergers and acquisitions and securities matters.
While earning her J.D. at University of Illinois Chicago School, Simran was a summer associate at Saul Ewing. Simran was also a student attorney in the Community Enterprise and Solidarity Economy Clinic and an extern for the Lawyers for the Creative Arts.
